Both include

14 days free first, for every child on your account. We ask for a card at sign-up as the adult check; nothing is taken until the trial ends, and we email you three days before. The price follows the number of children you add, so there's nothing to choose: one parent account, one bill, and a separate login and dashboard for every child. Large family? If you need more than four accounts, get in touch and we'll sort you out.

Before you pay

Two weeks to see whether it actually helps

Homework runs on a weekly cycle, so a week isn't long enough to tell. Fourteen days gives you two full cycles and a dashboard with something real in it.

14 days free

Full access to every learning mode, for every child on your account. We ask for your card when you sign up. It's how we check a genuine adult is in charge, but nothing is taken during the trial, and your 14 days only start when you add your child.

We'll remind you before we charge

Three days before your first payment, we email to tell you it's coming. Plenty of subscriptions quietly hope you forget. We'd rather you decided on purpose.

No tie-in, no contract

Monthly rolling. Cancel in a couple of clicks from your parent dashboard, whenever you like.

No surprises

What you won't find here

A child shouldn't have to wonder whether asking one more question costs their parent money. So we don't build it that way.

There is a monthly pot, and we'd rather be straight with you about it. Every family gets a pot of credits each month: an ordinary reply from Fred uses about one, reading a photo of a worksheet about ten. It's set so a normal month of homework and revision won't come close, and it refills on your billing day each month. If a really heavy month uses it up, you can add more from your parent dashboard: £10 adds 500 credits, £20 adds 1,000, and anything you buy carries over and never expires. Your child never sees a price; they just ask you.

If £15 is genuinely difficult

Every child deserves a good tutor, whatever their family's circumstances. If the standard price would be a real stretch, just tell us. No lengthy forms and no awkward conversation. We'll sort something out that works for your family, case by case.

This isn't small print or a marketing line. It's one of the reasons Learn with Fred exists. Email us and we'll take it from there.

FAQ

Questions about the price

Why £15?+

Because it's about what half an hour with a private tutor costs, and Fred is there every day rather than once a week. It covers what it costs us to run Fred for a busy child, with a little over to keep building. We'd rather set a price families can actually sustain than one that looks impressive on a spreadsheet.

Is it per child or per family?+

One child is £15 a month. Two or more children are £25 a month between them: £15 for the first, £10 for the second, nothing for the rest. Everything sits on one parent account with one bill, and the children share one monthly pot with Fred. More than four children? Get in touch and we'll sort you out.

Can I cancel whenever I want?+

Yes. It's monthly rolling with no minimum term and no cancellation fee. You cancel from your parent dashboard and keep access until the end of the month you've paid for.

Do you need my card for the free trial?+

Yes, when you sign up, and we're upfront about why: the card check tells us a genuine adult is setting up the account, which we take seriously for a children's service. Nothing is taken then or during the 14 days, your trial only starts when you add your child, and we email you three days before the first payment so it never arrives as a surprise. If you cancel during the trial you're not charged at all.

What are credits, and could my child run out?+

Credits are how we keep Fred fair to run. Every family gets a monthly pot, and it's deliberately generous: an ordinary reply from Fred uses about one credit, reading a photo of a worksheet about ten, and the pot is sized so a normal month of homework, check-ups and writing practice doesn't come close. It exists to stop misuse, such as a login being shared around or something hammering Fred all night, not to ration your child's questions. It refills on your billing day each month. If an unusually heavy month does use it up, you can add more from your parent dashboard from £10, and anything you buy carries over and never expires. Your child never sees a price or a prompt to buy more. They should never be doing mental arithmetic about the cost of asking a question.

What's coming next?+

Revision mode and exam practice arrive in January 2027: structured revision built around what your child actually needs to work on, and real exam-style questions marked with feedback that explains the marks, with a bigger monthly pot for exam season. They'll be an optional add-on, so everything in the £15 plan stays exactly as it is, and we'll announce the price well before anyone is charged for it.

What if we can't afford it?+

Then get in touch and we'll find a way. Nobody's child should miss out because of what's in the household budget this month: email us and we'll sort something out, case by case.

Will the price go up?+

Not without telling you first, in plenty of time, with the option to cancel before it takes effect. We're not in the business of quiet increases on parents' direct debits.
